Rolemodels

People look toward others for inspiration whether it is personally or on a professional level. I don’t know if it’s arrogance or if i’m egocentric but I would say my biggest Rolemodel would be myself 6 years ago.

In October of 2006, a freshly out of High School William D. Sherrill was sitting at a computer (probably looking at porn knowing him.) He noticed the webcam attached to the top of his monitor and thought, “You know… I haven’t really used that thing… ever. I need to use it.” Within minutes he wrote a blue print for a show, A dark comedy about a Kids Show that is intended for Adult viewers (In fact each episode should have started with “Warning: Not suitable for Children.”) William put on Halloween makeup and 30 minutes later he was looking at youtube to see if anyone was watching it. (Even though it was about 11 at night.)

Story Time With: William D. Sherrill was born.

Back in 2006 I improvised alot of stuff and would should the bulk of the shots with one take and then put inserts when needed. I did this and didn’t care if anyone liked it because I knew I liked it, I watch early episodes and still like it. Hell I watch practically every episode and like them. Somewhere a long though the ratio of having fun and trying to make the show technically good shifted. I inspire to be that care free guy who is shooting stuff and not caring again. Today a curve ball was thrown in my film class where two of my group members didn’t show up so me and my other group member had to re-write the script I wrote on the fly and it is the most fun I have had in awhile when it comes to filming.

I hate being cornered…

A. I am getting over being frightened.

B. I’m not good at speaking to someone I just met anyways.

C. This combo together makes me sound like a raging alcoholic.

So my one response I could get out was:

“Go online and check my tumblr if you are really interested. If you are just trying to convert me, please respect my personal beliefs.” (Then my ear buds went back in) But… less eloquent than that.
